Possibly, just possibly, they celebrate ‘Sinterklaas’ here as well. Dutch people party down on 5.12 with Sinterklaas, although Santa Klaus is taking over his business. These two package-distributing gentlemen dress rather alike.

Then again, we’re not in Holland at the moment.

And I thought you were the intelligent one in the family. You have to be a complete idiot to look at that ‘Father Christmas’ and not realise it is one and nothing to do with Easter! You have the balls to comment on ‘german oddities’ when i believe there is a stranger ‘english oddity’ which perhaps someone should start writing a blog on, which I’m sure we would all find very amusing!
